Join us as Ironton celebrates our newest floodwall mural honoring hometown Olympian McKenzie Long. Painted by acclaimed artist Elias Reynolds, the mural will be officially signed at the event.

Event Highlights:

  • Signing of the mural by Elias Reynolds
  • Speeches from city officials, including the Mayor
  • Dedication of “McKenzie Long Day” by the Mayor
  • Brief overview of McKenzie Long’s incredible journey

Note: McKenzie Long will not be able to attend in person, but city officials and community leaders will be present to honor her legacy.

???? About McKenzie Long

  • Born July 11, 2000, in Ironton, OH
  • Began her track career at Ironton Middle School, continuing through Pickerington HS
  • A multiple NCAA national champion in the 100 m, 200 m, and 4×100 m relay for North Carolina State and later University of Mississippi
  • Competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics, placing 7th in the women’s 200 m
  • Personal bests include 100 m in 10.92 s and 200 m in 21.83 s—ranked among the top in collegiate and U.S. history
