RESOLUTION NO. 21-47
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION AND UTILIZATION
OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
INCOME FOR SPLASH PARK EQUIPMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS

WHEREAS, the State of Ohio allows Communities to utilize its Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Income funding for eligible CDBG activities within Community, and
WHEREAS, the City of Ironton proposes to purchase splash park equipment and to make certain handicapped accessibility improvements to the Downtown Splash Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council for the City of Ironton,Ohio:
Section 1: That the Mayor be authorized to submit a Request Proposal to the State Development Service Agency to request authorization for the use of City CDBG Program Income for said Splash Park equipment and handicapped accessibility improvements.
Section 2: That should said funding be authorized by the State of Ohio, that the Mayor be authorized to execute all documents necessary to administer said grants.
Section 3: That the Ironton-Lawrence County Area Community Action Organization shall act in behalf of the City to implement said grant program.
This Resolution is hereby adopted on this _____ day of August, 2021 by the action of the Council for the City of Ironton, Ohio.
