City of Ironton to Host Ribbon Cutting for New Community Dog Park
Ironton, OH – October 21, 2025 – The City of Ironton is excited to announce the grand opening of its new community dog park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. The event will take place at the corner of Campbell Avenue and Monroe Street, near the base of the Ironton-Russell Bridge.
This new dog park represents a significant investment in the quality of life for Ironton’s residents and their four-legged companions, offering a safe and welcoming space for dogs to play, exercise, and socialize. The project is the result of a collaborative effort between the City and several local partners who contributed their time, services, and resources to bring the vision to life.
“The new dog park is more than just a recreational space, it’s a gathering place that celebrates community,” said Sam Cramblit, Mayor of Ironton. “We’re proud to create a dedicated area for our residents and their pets to enjoy the outdoors together, and we’re deeply grateful to all who helped make this project possible.”
The City extends its heartfelt thanks to the following contributors whose support made the dog park possible: ODOT, Newman’s Fencing, Nolan Electric, State Electric, Glockner’s, and the City of Ironton.
The ribbon-cutting celebration will feature participation from several local pet-related businesses, offering residents opportunities to meet vendors, learn about local pet services, and enjoy a morning of fun with their dogs.
Community members are invited to attend the ceremony, bring their pups, and be among the first to experience the new dog park.
