Today, the City of Ironton joined local leaders and community organizations to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vertiv’s presence in our city. In a ceremony at the company’s Ironton facility, Mayor Sam Cramblit presented Vertiv with the Key to the City and a commemorative plaque in recognition of the company’s longstanding contributions to our community.

Also participating in the event were the Lawrence County Commissioners, representatives from the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation, the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, and the Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization (ILCAO), reflecting the deep resonance this anniversary has across the city, county, and nonprofit sectors as they work together for our region.

A Quarter Century of Local Impact

Vertiv is a global leader in critical infrastructure solutions, serving data center, telecom, healthcare, and enterprise clients with power management, thermal systems, enclosures, and control software.  Among its numerous manufacturing sites in the U.S. and worldwide, Vertiv operates a facility right here in Ironton.  The company reportedly invests about 5% of its annual revenues into research and development and maintains thousands of patents and trademarks. 

While Vertiv’s operations are global, its Ironton facility serves as a cornerstone of local employment and technical expertise, supporting roles in manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and facilities operations.  Over the years, Vertiv has established itself as a valued employer in our region, contributing to economic stability and growth.
