RESOLUTION No. 20-69
REPEALING THE ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY INITIATIVE PETITION ON NOVEMBER 4, 1969 ESTABLISHING PARITY IN SALARIES OF FIREMEN AND POLICEMEN IN THE CITY OF IRONTON, OHIO.

WHEREAS, by Initiative Petition, the voters of the City of Ironton, Ohio passed an ordinance at the General Election held on November 4, 1969 establishing parity in the salaries of firemen and policemen in the City of Ironton, Ohio; and,
WHEREAS, it would now be in the best interest of the City of Ironton, Ohio that said ordinance be repealed; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRONTON, OHIO:
Section I:
That the ordinance adopted by Initiative Petition by the voters of the City of Ironton, Ohio on November 4, 1969 establishing parity in the salaries of firemen and policemen in the City of Ironton, Ohio be and is hereby repealed and held for naught.
Section II:
That this Ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure for the protection of the public peace and welfare of the citizens of the City of Ironton, Ohio.
