2020 SALARY RESOLUTION

ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ironton, State of Ohio, desires to establish salaries for 2020 for non-union employees; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRONTON, OHIO:

Section I:         That the City Council hereby establishes salaries for non-union employees for 2020, not to exceed the amount set forth herein below:

SECTION II:              All salaries are based on full-time employment, with the exception of the Council Clerk. In addition to the base pay of Council Clerk, the position shall receive compensation in the amount of $12.50 per hour, two-hour minimum, for each additional Council Meeting attended as minute record keeper.

SECTION III:             All non-union employees shall contribute ten (10) percent employee contribution towards the employee’s retirement expense, subject to annual adjustments.

SECTION IV:             The police and fire administrative employees’ portion of retirement expense will be the full twelve & one-quarter percent (12.25%) employee contributions, each year, subject to annual adjustment.

SECTION V:              All non-union positions will contribute ten percent (10%) towards their health insurance plan for 2020.

SECTION VI:             Employees will receive $100.00 for each quarter with zero (0) sick leave usage. Quarters will be considered as January through March, April through June, July through September, and October through December. All bonuses shall be paid by separate check in the following month after each quarter ends.

SECTION VII:            Employees shall receive a personal day to observe their birthday holiday.

SECTION VIII:          All positions will receive an additional $0.01 per hour for each year of city service.

SECTION VIX:          All non-union employees will participate in the AFSCME Care Plan that will cover Vision 1, Dental 2A, Life Insurance, Prescription Buyback, Hearing Aid, and Legal Benefits as a full employer-subsidized plan totaling $68.75/employee.

SECTION X:              Chief of Police & Chief of Fire shall receive quarterly Clothing Allowance in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements of the applicable departments.

SECTION XI:             Salaries are based upon full-time equivalency beginning January 1st, and ending December 31st.
