Authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute an agreement with Southern Ohio Trenching and Excavating, Inc. for construction of the Water Treatment Facility filter effluent valve replacement and declare it an emergency

Whereas, City of Ironton, Ohio on March 12, 2020 opened bids on the Water Treatment Facility Filter Effluent Valve Replacement Project with the lowest most responsive and responsible bidder being Southern Ohio Trenching and Excavating, Inch of Ironton, Ohio with a bid of $49,600.00; and

Whereas, City of Ironton, Ohio has filter effluent butterfly valves that need replaced per EPA inspection and

Now, Therefore, BE IT ordained by the Council of the City of Ironton, Ohio, as follows:

SECTION 1:   That the Council of the City of Ironton, Ohio be and is hereby authorize the Mayor to enter into a Contract with Southern Ohio Trenching and Excavating, Inc. for the work described in the Bid Documents for the purpose of replacing the water treatment plant filter effluent valves for the total price bid on March 12, 2020 in the amount of $49,600.00:

SECTION 2:   That the Council of the City of Ironton, Ohio be and is hereby considers this ordinance an Emergency;
