ORDINANCE NO. 20-35

AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH GREAT LAKES COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS,    the City has been notified by the Ohio EPA that the City is not in compliance with certain requirements regarding water distribution; and,

WHEREAS,    the City anticipates further non-compliance issues with regard to wastewater and storm water; and,

WHEREAS,    it would be beneficial to the City to engage into the within contract so as to comply with EPA requirements and to be in a position to better determine long-term City infrastructure expenses;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRONTON, STATE OF OHIO:

SECTION I:                 That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Professional Services Agreement with Great Lakes Community Action Partnership.

SECTION II:                That this Ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the public peace, welfare and safety of the Citizens of the City of Ironton, Ohio.
