Community Happy Hour Proclamation

Proclaiming April 6, 2020, as “Community Happy Hour” in the City of Ironton, Ohio.
It is with great pleasure as the Mayor of Ironton, State of Ohio, to recognize and honor outstanding events; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ironton, like the rest of our nation, is responding seriously to health concerns resulting from the spread of COVID-19; and,
WHEREAS, as a tangible and daily way for residents to connect in person while still practicing social distancing guidelines, all Ironton residents are encouraged to go outside each evening at 6:00 PM to wave at each other and shout out words of encouragement; and,
WHEREAS, while protecting the physical health of our community we also want to encourage the emotional and mental well-being of each other
NOW THEREFORE, under the power vested in me, I, Samuel Cramblit, Mayor of the City of Ironton, along with Ironton City Council, do hereby encourage all residents to go outside each day at 6:00 PM to participate in a “Community Happy Hour”.
In Witness Therefore, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Ironton to be affixed this 6th day of April, 2020.
