AMENDING SECTION 1250.05(b) DEFINITION OF “FAMILY” IN THE IRONTON ZONING CODE

WHEREAS, the definition of “Family” needs to be amended in the Zoning Code; and,

WHEREAS, said amendment is in the best interest of the citizens of Ironton, Ohio.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRONTON, OHIO:

SECTION I: That the definition of “Family” under Section 1250.05(b) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Ironton be amended as follows:
“Family” means one or more persons occupying a single dwelling unit. Unless all members are related by blood, adoption, or marriage, no such family shall contain over three persons.
